XD is yet another program to display a binary file as a series of
hexadecimal bytes and characters. What makes XD special, though,
is its ability to display a file as a set of simple structured records (example). It can also convert a text file to its binary
equivalent (example: echo 3.14159|xd -wrf|xd -rL).

PAD file.)
XD 1.10 (120k, 16- & 32-bit
DOS and Win32 console binaries, C source).
